These are the rules that have been sent to the Board for consideration. Please reach out to your Director with any comments or feedback.
Proposed Rule #1
Name change to Ladies and Mixed roping
Team must consist of one lady and one man or two ladies roping
Everything else remains the same
Proposed Rule #2
New Division
Team Roping Draw pot
Separate event from the Open Team Roping
No Age divisions, all the same rules apply as the open Team Roping
Top 15 headers and Top 15 heelers to the finals
Season leader and reserve awards
Ropers must enter as a Team which includes one header and one heeler as to keep a balanced draw
Must be a minimum of 5 teams hold this event
Partners will be randomly selected to compete, no trading of partners no switching of positions. If you
draw the partner you entered with that is a valid team and will be honored as such.
One run competition the animals will be chute run no draw
Points are awarded for in this event only and are not included in the all around or Open Team roping
5 rodeo rule applies to qualify for the finals
New daily partner draw will be observed in the finals as to the spirit of this event
This is a trial event to be reviewed within a year
Proposed Rule #3
1Year trial for 2027 Rodeo season.
Members will earn 2 bonus points per rodeo competed at.
Members will accumulate the bonus points during the season and then use those points at the finals. These bonus points are separate from the season points and have no bearing on the regular season standings.
In the case of vet/medical/hardship release – bonus points will not be awarded in events
not competed in.
Bonus points will not be counted in season leader or hi-point totals.
Bonus points will only be awarded at rodeos where the contestant holds an active membership.
Retroactive bonus points will not be awarded for rodeos competed in prior to holding an active membership.
The objective of this rule is to encourage our members to compete at more rodeos to support
the committees that are putting on these rodeos.
